There are are a number of areas in Middlefield that
have been preserved for passive recreational use. Wadsworth Falls
State Park will be the first area covered. Future additions will
include the Mattabesett Trail and others.
There is a level walk from the parking area on Cherry Hill Road,
off Route 157, to the brink of the falls. A trail system connects
the falls with the main swimming and picnicking area.
There are plenty of scenic areas at the park. See the map for
trails and distances.
